Review by hotel critic
The Hotel Carlton Capri in Venice is a charming 3-star hotel located in the heart of Santa Croce. The location is fantastic, just a short walk from Piazzale Roma and the Santa Lucia Railway Station. The room was comfortable and well-equipped, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The staff were friendly and helpful, making us feel instantly at home. One highlight was the large breakfast buffet, featuring typical Venetian desserts to start the day off right. The hotel offers a range of leisure options for active guests, including a gym, sauna, steam bath, and massage treatments. The decor is elegant and refined, with typically Venetian details that add to the overall charm of the hotel. While our stay was enjoyable overall, there were a few downsides. The directions to the hotel could be more accurate, as it was a bit challenging to find upon arrival. The lack of coffee or tea facilities in the room was a disappointment, and we had to ask for clean towels as they were not replaced during our stay.In conclusion, the Hotel Carlton Capri is a lovely choice for travelers interested in walking, atmosphere, and sightseeing in Venice. With its convenient location, friendly staff, and comfortable accommodations, it offers a pleasant stay for those looking to explore the city. I would recommend it to friends and would consider returning in the future.
